🌎 Hearts ON

EARTH. 💚

Hearts on Earth is a homecoming — a return to the ground beneath our feet, the breath within our chest, and the community that surrounds us. Through yoga, stillness, and song, we root down to rise with compassion, carrying the wisdom of the Earth in our hearts.

Meet the yogis

Helene and Joan are passionate yoga teachers and friends, united by their love for the Jivamukti method and a shared vision of creating safe, nourishing, and heart-centered spaces. Together, they guide practitioners to root deeply, restore, and connect — to themselves, each other, and the world around them.

  • Helene first encountered yoga at the age of 18, initially through its philosophy and later through the physical practice. She completed her 200-hour Vinyasa training in 2016 and furthered her studies with a 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga training in 2020. Recently, she graduated the 800-hour Jivamukti Yoga Apprenticeship. Helene co-founded Jivamukti Yoga Düsseldorf in April 2024, combining her passion for yoga with a strong dedication to creating a spiritual community that honors tradition and fosters growth. Her approach emphasizes mindful movement and the transformative power of yoga.

  • Joan came to yoga through the moving meditation of classical dance and stayed for the stillness between breaths. In his classes, Joan weaves the structure of tradition with the spark of creativity. The result is a practice that is dynamic, playful, and precise—where movement becomes mantra and the breath becomes home. He is a certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher (800h+). He is also a 500h RYT in Hatha-Vinyasa, and a Reiki Usui and Reiki Karuna-Prakriti Master. Joan's path has been shaped by the wisdom and compassion of Rachel Berryman, Moritz Ulrich, Martyna Eder, Ninya Lehrheuer, and Sandy Boutros—teachers who continue to light the way, and pass on the teachings of their lineage.
